The Nineteenth

Why the title? In golf slang, the nineteenth hole is the clubhouse bar, where the round gets talked over once the eighteen are done. This picture is that feeling in colour. An orange and red golf bag full of clubs leans against a wooden bench. Behind it, a huge sun made of red, yellow and orange rings sets over rolling hills, with rays fanning out across the sky. A flag stands on a bright green to the right.

The style is pop art, the look of old comic books: thick black outlines, flat colour and little dots for shading. It is loud and cheerful, so it is good for a games room, a garage, a bar corner or a teenager's room. It suits the golfer who enjoys the chat after the round as much as the round itself.

The framed poster shows the whole design, from the rays at the top to the path at the bottom. On metal and canvas the wide crop keeps the sun, the bag, the bench and the flag, and trims the rays and clouds above. Put it with the funny golf gifts if they like a picture with a smile in it.
