What you can actually personalise
Either the picture or the words. The two photo prints work from a photograph of a golf course and carry no text. The personalised golfer print needs no photo: it sets their name, handicap, home club and the year they started playing in type, with a flag on the green. Nothing on this site is engraved or monogrammed. What makes a course print theirs is that it is their course, photographed from somewhere they have stood, which is a harder thing to fake than a name in a serif font.

Whose photograph, and of what
It doesn't have to be their home club. A holiday round, a links they talk about, the resort course where something happened that has nothing to do with golf: any of those work, because the point is that they recognise the ground. A landscape shot in decent light beats a dramatic angle taken at dusk, and a heavily zoomed crop is the one thing that reliably disappoints. If you've no photograph at all, this isn't the gift, and the better answer is further down.
When there is no photograph: pick the moment instead
Not every golfer has a picture of their course, and not every buyer can get one without spoiling the surprise. The rest of the collection is original painting, and the way to make that personal is to pick the moment, not the place.
