Two men walking off down the fairway, in smudged charcoal
We only see their backs. Two men in caps walk side by side down a sloping fairway, away from us. The one on the right has a golf bag full of clubs slung over his shoulder on a strap, and the one on the left carries a smaller bag on his shoulder. Their shadows fall long behind them. Far up the slope, a few trees and the edge of a green are sketched in a handful of strokes.
A caddie is the person who carries a player's bag and helps them round the course. The drawing is charcoal on warm cream paper, with smudged greys and quick, scratchy lines. Nothing is fussy. It is about two people and a walk, which makes it a thoughtful gift for a golfing pair, a parent and grown-up child who play together, or anyone who caddies. It suits a hallway, a landing or a bedroom.
The tall picture leaves plenty of empty fairway around the men. The metal and wood prints crop to a wider shape that cuts the trees at the top and puts the two figures in the centre. The framed poster keeps the full sheet.
